Free Prints
Seen a painting or photo here that you like? You can have it on your wall for a low cost. Contact me at the email address displayed at the bottom of this page to request access to free files that you can send to your local print shop for printing, and then have framed. I’ll send you a link to a TIFF file (typically around 100MB or larger in size) that you can then download or send the link to your local print-on-demand store (examples in the US would be Printful, Printify, Gelato, Sellfy, Redbubble, and many others).
Size
Specify size (length x height in inches or mm) that you would like the final image to be. I will adjust the image accordingly. Note that larger images create bigger files.
File Format
The files will be Tagged Image File Format (TIFF) files at 300 dpi using sRGB color space. They must be printed at 300 dpi to achieve the size you specified. Inform your print shop of this.
Tips
- For the greatest longevity of the prints, ask your print shop to use non-acidic, archival quality paper and pigment inks, not dye inks. Or simply ask for a “giclée” print (pronounced “zhee-KLAY”). They’ll know what that means. Images printed with pigment inks on archival paper can last for hundreds of years.
- Don’t hang the painting where it is exposed to direct sunlight.
- You can get cheap frames from IKEA and do the framing yourself, saving a lot of money.
