Portland, the largest city in Oregon, boasts a world-renowned attraction: the Portland Japanese Garden. Spread over 5 ha (12 acres) is was proclaimed the “most beautiful and authentic Japanese garden outside of Japan” by the Japanese ambassador to the US. I don’t usually take an interest in urban locations, but this one was a bit special.
