My visit to Monument Valley was one of the most thrilling experiences of my life. I’m glad I lived long enough to see this magnificent place properly. My late wife and I drove through the area about 30 years ago, but never entered the actual Monument Valley Tribal Park because we were strapped for time. Skipping this park was a mistake because it’s easily one of the most beautiful places in America, and on this planet. Wow, is all I can say! It felt as if I was somewhere else in the universe because the scenery is so extravagantly dramatic and unique. I can think of very few places that can make one feel that.

Visiting this special place was one of the few times I have felt really excited and happy in the last few years. The overwhelming sense of natural beauty, timelessness and otherworldliness was intoxicating.
